Moms

I really miss my mom…a ton and practically all of the time. I’ve hated Mother’s Day the past few years because it was a dreaded reminder of that incredibly sore spot in my heart…but (such a great word), I’m finally getting to feel a little less avoiding of it because I think of all of the amazing people in my life that I’m better for knowing- moms and non-moms, past and present. People worthy of celebrating. I’m rich in relationship.
And just for moms: what would the world be without you? Get-together planners, enforcers of kindness, cleanliness and pleasanter language; no bullshit (sorry, mom) attitudes, and the biggest hearts. Not to mention supposed super human strength if anyone of their offspring are endangered. Doesn’t it feel like sometimes the world just needs a mama’s love? I pray that everybody gets to feel that.
